Last week, we were proud to host a press conference with Brian Higgins to discuss the Boxing Therapy for Parkinson’s Access Act of 2022 (H.R. 6774). The bipartisan bill, introduced by Rep. Higgins and Congressman Darin LaHood (R-IL-18), directs the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide coverage for boxing-based therapy classes to veterans diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other movement disorders.

This means that the many US Veterans we owe our freedom to would be able to utilize boxing as a way to combat Parkinson's disease.

The effort was also supported by the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research both locally and nationally. Neurologists from WNY, US Vets, current patients, current coaches, and Dean Eoannou all spoke about the benefits of boxing to Parkinson's patients and what it means to work with veterans.

Here is a gallery of our favorite photos from the day!

I was diagnosed 2018 with Parkinson’s disease. My symptoms progressed quickly. Soon i was having difficulty sleeping, speech and even walking short distances. With the help of the PD-5 treatment I have been able to reverse my symptoms using diet, herbs, which i feel has made the most difference. The PD-5 treatment has immensely help overturn my symptoms, since I started the PD-5 treatment my slurred speech and especially the tremors gradually disappeared. it’s has done me a lot of good in terms of balance and ability to walk and get up from chairs.
